Reelcraft Reach Compliance Statement

This statement confirms that Reelcraft is aware of the requirements of REACH Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 of the European Parliament and of the Council. It is our intention to comply with the requirements of this regulation as it applies to producers of Articles outside the EU. Per our understanding of REACH regulations, products offered by Reelcraft are or contain “Articles” as defined in the REACH Regulation in Chapter 2, Article 3 (3). The majority of “Articles” are within a complex product.

REACH REGISTRATION

Referencing Article 7 Registration and notification on substances in articles (if both conditions are met):

(a) The substance is present in those articles in quantities totaling over 1 tonne per producer or importer per year;

(b) The substance is intended to be released under normal reasonably foreseeable conditions or use.

Reelcraft does not meet the two above conditions; therefore is exempted from the registration requirement.

SVHC

233 Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC) listed by the European Chemical Agency (ECHA), last updated 17, January 2023, are not intentionally or knowingly added during manufacture or contained in Reelcraft products or packaging above a concentration of the 0.1% w/w reporting threshold *unless otherwise stated below. We will continue to work with our suppliers to identify any SVHC contained in the materials procured for use in manufacturing Reelcraft products. As per article 33 of the Reach Regulation, customers will be notified if any SVHC use is determined.

*Many of Reelcrafts’ products include components machined from copper alloys containing Lead (Brass Alloys C36000) above the 0.1% w/w threshold where it is an integral part of the Article. Specific product information is available on request. Included products are all replacement hose assemblies (due to brass fittings), all reels supplied with hose (due to brass fittings).

Copper alloys such as brass and bronze in their solid form and under normal conditions do not present an inhalation, ingestion or contact health hazard of the regulated substance. Operations such as welding, excessive heating or dust generating activities, such as machining, may create a health hazard. Under normal use, Reelcrafts’ products are not designed or anticipated to release these regulated substances.

ANNEX XIV AUTHORIZATION LIST UNDER REACH (43 SUBSTANCES – LAST UPDATED LIST)

To the best of our knowledge, Reelcraft does not manufacture or use, in the EU, SVHC that have been added to the Authorization List.

ANNEX XVII SUBSTANCES RESTRICTED UNDER REACH (73 SUBSTANCES – LAST UPDATED LIST)

To the best of our knowledge, Reelcraft products and packaging are compliant with Annex XVII restrictions.

NOTE

Reelcraft did not chemically analyze any materials for specific content. Reelcraft is relying on the material supplier for declarations, certifications, notifications and/or available MSDS regarding the materials within the Articles described herein. Reelcraft makes no warranties, express nor implied, and assumes no liability related to any use of this information.
