How to Build a Reel Cart

How to Change the Inlet

If you need to change the location of your Series 80000 reel inlet, you will need to remove the pipe plug and install it into the other side. Warning: This plug is highly torqued and will require leverage and the correct tools to loosen it without damaging the reel.

How to Fix a Latched Out Reel

A latched-out reel is when you can’t pull the hose or cord forward anymore or retract it back in because it’s locked in position. To fix this, you’ll need to disengage the latch to allow the reel to retract.

How to Replace the Cord

How to Identify if you Need a Pivot Base or Swing Bracket

Anytime you are pulling your hose or cord at an angle greater than 45 degrees against the roller guide, it is recommended to have either a 340-degree pivot base or a swing bracket depending on the location your reel is mounted.


How to Convert a Series 30000 Reel to a Garden Hose Reel

You will need a garden hose conversion fitting to convert it. See our fittings based on your reel and hose:
